From December 1, 2022, the personal data of "foreign agents" will become public. The corresponding order was signed by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
The data will be published directly in the register of "foreign agents" on the website of the Ministry of Justice. We are talking about the full name, data of the identity document, home address, TIN and SNILS, date and reason for entering into the register. In the case of legal entities, the OGRN will also be published.
On June 29, the State Duma adopted the law “On Control over the Activities of Persons Under Foreign Influence”. Now, according to the law, anyone can be recognized as a "foreign agent". The Russian authorities believe that simply being under "foreign influence" is enough for this. This does not require foreign funding.
