In St. Petersburg, anti-fascists honored the memory of their comrade Timur Kacharava, who was killed 17 years ago by ultra-right skinheads

On November 13, 2005, Kacharava and his friend Maksim Zgibai were attacked by a group of people shouting “Antiantif” near “Bukvoed” on Vosstaniya Square in St. Petersburg. Timur received six stab wounds in the neck and died on the spot, his friend tried to hide in the store, but was overtaken by an ill-wisher and received a head injury.

On the anniversary of the tragedy, the memorial near the place where Kacharava was killed is guarded by a detachment of police officers.
