Vladimir Putin proposed deprive acquired citizenship for crimes provided for by “political” articles: extremism, fakes about the army, discrediting the Russian army

The President introduced appropriate amendments to the draft law on citizenship, adopted by the State Duma in the first reading back in April this year.

Acquired citizenship is proposed to be revoked for:

– discrediting the army;
– carrying out activities of an undesirable organization;
– “fakes about the army”;
– calls for violation of territorial integrity;
– calls for extremism;
– encroachment on the life of a statesman;
– organization of an armed rebellion;
– desecration of the state emblem and flag;
– robbery, robbery, bribes, vandalism, and some others.
