Zurabishvili: more than 700,000 Russians have entered Georgia since the start of mobilization

Since the beginning of the mobilization announced in Russia, more than 700,000 Russians have entered Georgia. This was announced by Georgian President Salome Zourabishvili in an interview with Radio France.

According to her, out of 700,000 Russians, only 100,000 remained in Georgia, the remaining 600 migrated to other countries – Armenia, Turkey and European countries. “From time to time there are verbal skirmishes, but, in general, the Russians who came to Georgia and the remaining Russians, people who clearly do not want to share the fate of Putin’s warring Russia, do not want to be mobilized,” Zurabishvili said.

The President of Georgia also said that there are about 30,000 Ukrainians in the country who left their homes because of the war.

After the beginning of the “partial” mobilization and, as a result, a new wave of migration, a multi-kilometer queue formed at the Upper Lars checkpoint separating Russia and Georgia. Eyewitnesses of what is happening in the conversation The Insider called it a humanitarian catastrophe. More details in our material.
