A Russian sapper died after being blown up by a mine while surveying the border area in the Kursk region. Two more soldiers are wounded. The shell detonated at about 8 am.
The sappers cleared the area after the Ukrainian arrivals. Residents heard several explosions, then ambulance sirens.
