The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported on the capture of the village of Pavlovka near Ugledar (Donetsk region). “On November 14 of this year, as a result of stubborn fighting by Russian troops, the settlement of Pavlovka of the Donetsk People’s Republic was completely liberated,” the Russian Defense Ministry said. There were fierce battles for Pavlovka. On November 6, it became known that the Russian marines advancing on Ugledar announced the loss of 300 people in a few days and complained about the command. Soldiers of the 155th Separate Guards Marine Brigade of the Pacific Fleet of Russia handed over a letter to the Governor of Primorsky Territory Oleg Kozhemyako with a request to send a commission to the place to stop a poorly planned and unprepared attack on the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
On November 14, immediately after the announcement of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation about the capture of Pavlovka, the media reported that the brigade received a "severe reprimand" for Kozhemyako's complaint about heavy losses. For publicizing the situation, they were intimidated, and then, as a punishment, they were sent to storm. According to one of the military, another 100-115 people died during the assault on Pavlovka. In total, there are allegedly 450-500 dead in the brigade.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine were able to return the city under their control in the summer, but now the situation is difficult for the defense. According to military expert Leonid Dmitriev, Pavlovka is important because it is a fire control point for Volnovakha.

Approximately two-thirds of the supplies to the southern group, if not three-quarters, now go through Volnovakha. Because the Crimean bridge is functioning, but not as strong as it should be. Why Pavlovka is important – this is a point for fire control, put another front line there. The Armed Forces of Ukraine are getting closer and closer.”
“The meaning is obvious: Pavlovka is the direction to Olginka and further to Volnovakha. And this is a major communications hub that allows you to develop an offensive both to the south and to the east-west, ”says military expert Sergei Grabsky.
Fights for the Kinburn Spit
Contradictory information is received about the battles for the Kinburn Spit. It is located between the Dnieper-Bug estuary and the Black Sea. The pro-Russian Telegram channel Romanov live reports that it has come under Ukrainian control. At the same time, the Russian propaganda channel Russia Today reports that the spit is still under the control of the Russian Armed Forces.
