Yesterday’s terrorist attack in Istanbul was the first such attack since 2016, the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs said (6 people were killed and 36 were injured in that attack, the ISIS group, banned in Russia, took responsibility).
This time, the Turkish authorities are linking the organization of the attack with Kurdish groups. According to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, “there is a suspicion that the order came from Kobani (in northern Syria on the Turkish border), the perpetrator passed through Afrin (also in northern Syria).” The minister promised a “tough response” to the organizers and perpetrators of the attack.
