Yakut journalist fined 30,000 rubles for mentioning the word “front”

The Yakutsk city court ruled that by using the word “front” in a commentary to the Dozhd TV channel, Timofey Efremov, deputy editor-in-chief of the Yakutia.Info publication, “discredited the RF Armed Forces.” The publication drew attention to the decision 7×7.

“In his speech, Efremov T.A. discredited the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation by using the word “front” in relation to a special operation. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation and the President of Russia (in their address dated September 21, 2022) did not use the word “front”, but used the “line of contact”. The word “front” is applicable to the conflict denoted by the word “war”.
