The occupation “administration” of New Kakhovka left the city

The Russian-established occupation “administration” of Nova Kakhovka in the Kherson region, as well as employees of “state and municipal institutions”, left the city after the retreat of the Russian army from Kherson. This is stated in the message of the "press service of the CAA of the Novokakhovsk urban district" on the Telegram channel. A similar message was published by the RIA Novosti propaganda agency.

All employees "were relocated to safe places in the region," the "authorities" emphasized.

The text says that the city was “under the fire of large-caliber artillery and mortars of the Armed Forces of Ukraine”, life in Nova Kakhovka became “unsafe”. Also, the pro-Russian administration claims that thousands of residents of the city have left their homes.

“But this does not mean that Novaya Kakhovka, Tavriysk and all other settlements were abandoned. Crews of communal enterprises and services work in standby mode, which ensure the functioning of energy and water supply systems. Social service workers, together with volunteers, provide food kits for lonely and disabled elderly people.”

Now in Nova Kakhovka there is no Internet and mobile communications, fiber optic lines are damaged.

On November 12, the occupying "authorities" of Novaya Kakhovka decided to evacuate away from the Dnieper – to a safer place. Next to Novaya Kakhovka are the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station and a dam ( at the same time the dam serves as a bridge across the Dnieper ). On November 12, the road on the dam was blown up, as a result, communication between the left and right banks of the Dnieper was destroyed. In the event of a complete destruction of the dam, the nearest settlements will be flooded, and the North Crimean Canal will become empty, depriving Crimea of water supply.
