Polish President: Rocket crash is an ‘accident’, not a targeted attack

Polish President Andrzej Duda said that the country has no evidence that the rocket that fell in the village of Przewodov was fired by the Russian military. Most likely, it belonged to the Ukrainian air defense.

“There is no indication that the rocket that hit the village was a deliberate attack on Poland,” he said.

According to the president, most likely it was an "accident".

“There are many indications that it was an air defense missile, which, unfortunately, fell on the territory of Poland,” Duda wrote on Twitter.

Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said that there is "probably no" need to apply Article 4 of the NATO treaty (on consultations in the event of a threat).

According to NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, according to preliminary data, a Ukrainian air defense missile did indeed fall in Poland, but Kiev is not to blame for this. According to him, NATO sees no signs that Russia is planning an attack on the alliance.
