The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) liberated the village of Makeevka in the Svatovsky district of the Lugansk region. The video was published by the Luhansk Regional Military Administration (OVA) in the Telegram channel.
The footage shows servicemen passing by destroyed houses, Ukrainian journalists who entered the village with them claim that everything was destroyed after Russian shelling. Also shown are the bodies of the dead, lying near the buildings.
Earlier, Russian troops occupied the village of Mayorsk on the outskirts of Gorlovka, Donetsk region. According to the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), the increased frequency of statements by the Russian Defense Ministry about the occupied territories in the Donetsk region may indicate that Russia is becoming more active in this direction after the withdrawal of troops from the right bank of the Dnieper in the Kherson region.
