The director of the Zvezdny sports center in the Astrakhan region was banned from spending 12 million budget rubles on a Genesis GV80 car. Just a couple of hours after our publication.
Daria Krasnova ordered an elite crossover package for an amount equal to that which the deputies of the region recently allocated in support of the mobilized. The local Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports realized this, albeit not immediately, and admitted that the situation was ugly. They say: the car was needed for foreign delegations and famous athletes, but they bought it “without taking into account the current situation.”
Now the situation has been taken into account, the Genesis wheels will not reach Zvezdny, and 12 million rubles will remain in the budget of the Astrakhan region. And they can spend it on something more useful.
