“The worst has happened.” Jim Carrey’s sarcasm was given out on NTV for being sincerely upset about the ban on entry into Russia

The website of the NTV channel in a note under the heading "Jim Carrey responded to Russian sanctions" reports :

“Famous actor Jim Carrey commented on the decision of the Russian authorities to ban him from entering the country. The artist posted about this on his page in social networks.

In Kerry's words, "the worst has happened." “We were banned from entering Russia. But the problems of a hundred Canadians are worth nothing in this world. We will always have Paris,” he wrote.

Kerry's post is quoted almost exactly. But NTV does not notice that this is a response to the post of writer Margaret Atwood, author of the popular novel The Handmaid's Tale, who was banned from entering Russia along with Kerry. Atwood, 83, wrote :

"Crap! Jim Carrey and I were planning a little naughty weekend in Moscow. Apparently, we will have to go to Kyiv instead.”

The venerable age of the writer leaves no doubt that this is nothing more than sarcasm about the ban on entry to places where she did not intend to at all. Otherwise, one would have to assume that she had an affair with 60-year-old Kerry. Kerry's answer looks like this in full:

“Yes, Margaret Atwood, I'm afraid the worst has already happened. We were banned from entering Russia… But the problems of 100 Canadians do not matter in this crazy world! We will always have Paris. I'm with you baby."

Obviously, the famous comedian picked up the joke of the writer and laughs with her at the Russian ban.
