Fake Solovyova and Zakharova: Ukraine “sponsored” Biden’s party with money received from the US government

TV propagandist Vladimir Solovyov posted an excerpt from a Fox News show on his Telegram channel, quoting host Jesse Watters:

The Fox News host also shows the “circulation of money” scheme: American taxpayer money goes to humanitarian and military aid to Ukraine, then it “uses it to partner with the FTX crypto exchange”, and FTX, in turn, sponsors the Democratic Party, which supports Joe Biden.

Representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova referred to Solovyov's post in her Telegram channel:

These statements have nothing to do with reality. The Ukrainian government did officially cooperate with the FTX crypto exchange as part of the Aid for Ukraine project to convert cryptocurrency donations into regular money and buy humanitarian aid and equipment for the army with them. Oleksandr Bornyakov, Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, wrote about this. However, he noted, Kyiv has never invested in FTX:

“The whole story that Ukraine allegedly invested in FTX, which donated to the Democratic Party, is nonsense, to be honest.”

Profile portal CoinDesk calls the rumor that US President Joseph Biden helped Ukraine "return the money" to his party a "conspiracy theory" that "originated on Twitter and on right-wing websites" last week when FTX filed a claim about bankruptcy. “Neither the Ukrainian government nor FTX has ever announced any investment event. As observers note, such a move would be extravagant for a country fending off a full-scale military invasion from Russia, using military and financial assistance from the US, the EU, the UK and other countries, ”the article says.
