Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine: Bodies of 63 people killed by Russian military found in Kherson region

In the liberated Kherson region, the bodies of 63 people killed by the Russian military were found. This was announced by the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Denis Monastyrsky.

“But we must understand that the search has just begun, so many more places of torture and burial places will be discovered,” the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs emphasized. According to him, in total, Ukraine initiated 436 proceedings based on “the results of the first signs of war crimes,” and also found 11 places where the Russian military held prisoners. In four of them they used torture.

Monastyrsky also said that the Russian military left a lot of mines in the Kherson region – on the roads, in residential buildings and the police building. According to him, during the demining, several pyrotechnicians were injured and killed.

On November 16, the SBU reported that it had found a room in de-occupied Kherson where the Russian military tortured local residents. During the inspection, objects were found there that “directly indicate signs of torture.”
