State Duma Deputy Ekaterina Stenyakina (ER) said that the bill allowing teenagers to work from the age of 14 only makes this opportunity easier for them and does not harm children in any way:
“According to the results of research, 9 out of 10 teenagers over the age of 14 express a desire to work in the summer,” the deputy said.
In her comment, she forgot to mention that this is not only about summer work, but also about motivation document formulated in the explanatory note. There, child labor is explained by the impoverishment of families under sanctions.
