“Forty policemen came, smashed the whole ship, robbed the whole crew, put them in jail.”

Sailors from Kerch and Sevastopol, who are two weeks kept in Egypt, are already on their way home.

The ship Soya was heading to Africa, but due to a breakdown, she got stuck in the port of Alexandria. There, unexpected guests in uniform came on board. 28 tons of tramadol were found in the holds. The fact that the boxes were sealed and the crew had nothing to do with them did not bother the police.

According to the sailors, in the area where they spent two weeks, they were almost not fed, with the help of caring locals. Mechanic Pavel Gusev from Kazan, cook Aleksey Pogrebnyak from Kerch and mechanic Roman Vorontsov from Sevastopol have already arrived in Moscow and will soon get home. What will happen to the captain and assistant is not yet known. Both are older men with chronic illnesses.
