The IAEA Board of Governors adopted a resolution on nuclear safety and safeguards in Ukraine, where it called on Russia to abandon “unfounded claims” to the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant.
Russia’s Permanent Mission to International Organizations in Vienna called the adopted resolution “unprofessional drafted, going beyond the Agency’s mandate and containing factual errors.” Russia and China voted against the document.
