More than 13,000 soldiers from Buryatia could be sent to the war against Ukraine. This is indicated by the message of the regional government, drew the attention of "Taiga.info".
The message is dedicated to collecting gifts for the Buryat military. It says that "defenders of the Motherland from Buryatia" will be sent more than 13.5 thousand New Year's gifts. One hundred of them are intended for the military, who are in hospitals. Each gift contains sweets, personal hygiene products, warm socks and letters from children from Buryatia.
Even earlier, a message from the collection of gifts was published on the Buryatia Post page. It said that about 13 million rubles would be spent on their purchase. The source of funding is not specified. ANO Assistance, registered in July 2022 by Damdin Bolotov, is engaged in the purchase, collection and sending of gifts. In 2021, he ran for the State Duma from the Communists of Russia.
