Russia launches cruise missile with dummy nuclear warhead in Ukraine

One of the two X-55 missiles that was shot down over Kiev on November 17 had a dummy nuclear warhead attached to it, according to Defense Express.

As the newspaper writes, at least one Kh-55 had its nuclear warhead "unscrewed" and an empty "blank" was put in its place.

The publication concludes that Russia has critically low stocks of cruise missiles, since cruise missiles from the "nuclear arsenal" were used.

Typically, Russia used missiles of the Kh-555 type for attacks on Ukraine – this is a non-nuclear modification of the Kh-55 missile, converted into a conventional warhead with classic explosives. Kh-55 is a Soviet missile that was developed as a carrier of nuclear weapons.
