Vice Governor of St. Petersburg Boris Piotrovsky declared…

Vice Governor of St. Petersburg Boris Piotrovsky declaredthat the building of the Faculty of Social Technologies of the RANEPA, which was claimed by the Russian Orthodox Church, will be kept by the university for the next five years, without being transferred to the neighboring Holy Cross Cossack Cathedral:

“… an agreement was reached by the governor to leave the educational institution in this building for another five years after its transfer to the church.”

Recall that previously university students turned to Patriarch Kirill, stating that they were handed over along with the building as serfs, and the authorities did not provide guarantees that the students would not be expelled after the building was received by the Church.

The pretext for a possible transfer was the fact that before the revolution it housed a house of charity for provincial and orphaned clergy.
