The Ministry of Internal Affairs recognized the complaint that Sergei Mironov calls the war in Ukraine a war “incorrect”

The Ministry of Internal Affairs recognized the complaint of the deputy of the Moscow Region Smolninskoye of St. Petersburg Nikita Yuferev against the head of the Just Russia – For Truth party Sergei Mironov as "incorrect".

In early November, Yuferev turned to the department with a request to check the statements of the Social Revolutionary for the purpose of "discrediting" the Russian army. The reason for this was a tweet by Mironov, in which he calls the war in Ukraine a war, and not a “special military operation”, as required by the Russian authorities. The Ministry of Internal Affairs replied that Yuferev's appeal was recognized as "incorrect in presentation" and stated that there would be no verification of Mironov. The agency also stressed that the deputy should not "abuse the right to appeal."

In his tweet, Mironov not only calls the war in Ukraine a war, but also says in plain text that Russia started it:

"Russia didn't just start a war with the imperialist-colonizers, Russia gave the Russians back hope."

In July, deputies of the Just Russia – For Truth faction submitted to the State Duma a bill on recognizing Ukraine as a terrorist state and confiscate the property of its citizens in favor of Russia. The bill also proposes to recognize a number of other countries as "terrorist" or "sponsor of terrorism" states.
