Opposition leader Alexei Navalny is going to sue the colony with a demand to give him winter boots. This is reported in his social networks.
According to Navalny, all other prisoners have already switched to winter uniforms. He said that he only had autumn boots and had already caught a cold after one of his walks in the icy concrete courtyard of the colony.
“They don’t give you winter boots. So you either don’t go out for a walk (and suffer), or go out and get sick (which has already happened to me). To catch a cold is nonsense if you are at home with a blanket, tea and honey. In a cell where hot water exists in the form of 3 mugs – for breakfast, lunch and dinner – it is categorically not recommended to get sick even with a cold. If you get sick, you will have to ask the administration for something – pills, medical assistance, permission for woolen socks, etc., ”Navalny’s social networks say.
Navalny believes that this is a way to put pressure on him in order to motivate him to "renounce some of his positions."
