RIA Novosti, NTV, REN TV and other propagandists, including Vladimir Solovyov, reported on the possible entry of Poland into the war with Russia "at the behest of the United States." At the same time, they referred to the authoritative Polish Gazeta Wyborcza, which, in turn, quotes political scientist Leszek Sykulski.
At the same time, the Russian media forgot to mention that an article in Gazeta Wyborcza called “Pro-Russian propaganda at a meeting in Poznan. “The Polish Government Prepares for War in the East” is not devoted to a serious analysis of the likelihood of Poland entering the war, but exclusively to the speech of Sykulsky, whom the newspaper calls a “pro-Russian propagandist”, at the Sursum Corda bookstore, “organizing meetings with conservative journalists, anti-vaccinationists, deniers of the coronavirus pandemic and supporters of the theory of the assassination attempt in Smolensk <the version according to which the plane crash in Smolensk, which killed ex-president Lech Kaczynski, was the result of an assassination attempt – The Insider>.
“It was here that Stanislav Mikhalkevich, who is also known for numerous anti-Semitic statements, met with his supporters. He insulted on his Internet channel a woman who was raped by a priest as a child. The former priest belonged to the Society of Christ, which, after the verdict of the court, had to pay the woman 1 million zlotys as compensation for damages, ”reminds the journalist Gazeta Wyborcza.
Thus, although the newspaper quotes Sykulsky, it does not take his remarks seriously at all.
“After the Russian attack on Ukraine, he <Sykulsky> in his public statements began to adapt to Russian propaganda. The political scientist, in a Twitter post, opposed the aid to Ukraine, saying that it “substitutes our country for Russian retaliatory actions,” and asked what links Poles and Russians,” Gazeta Wyborcza notes.
The newspaper also recalls that it has already appealed to the authorities of Poznan with the question of how the Sursum Corda store, which spreads fakes about vaccination, can take part in city events.
