The Prosecutor's Office of Poland will oppose the involvement of the Ukrainian side in the investigation of the incident with the fall and explosion of a rocket in Przewoduv. Rzeczpospolita writes about this, citing sources familiar with the investigation.
According to them, the investigation has no such legal possibility. In addition, it is still considering all possible versions, including the one that it could be a Ukrainian air defense missile. In this regard, Ukraine should not take part in the investigation due to bias.
At the same time, Jakub Kumoch, a representative of the Office of the President of Poland, said earlier that Ukraine could gain access to the investigation if the Polish-American group already involved in it allows it. According to him, this can happen if the investigation does not have comments "at the technical level."
Rzeczpospolita emphasizes that the decision on admission to the investigation is made exclusively by the Polish prosecutor's office. The head of the National Security Bureau of Poland, Jacek Severa, stressed that even if Ukraine is admitted, this does not guarantee that it will take a direct part in it.
The rocket fell on November 15 in the village of Przewodow in the Lublin Voivodeship of Poland, 6 km from the border with Ukraine. Two people died as a result of the incident. Analysts came to the conclusion that the fragments of the rocket are similar to part of the engine of the Soviet rocket of the S-300 complex, which is in service with the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
