The current president of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, won the early elections of the head of the republic, which were held in Kazakhstan on November 20. According to preliminary data from the CEC, 81.31% of voters (6,456,392 votes) voted for Tokayev.
In the last elections, Tokayev's competitors were five more candidates, each of whom received 2-3% of the vote. Karakat Abden from the National Alliance of Social Workers won 2.6% of the vote, Nurlan Auesbaev from the opposition National Social Democratic Party – 2.22%. Zhiguli Dairabaev from the people's democratic patriotic party "Auyl" – 3.42%, Meiram Kazhyken from the republican association "Commonwealth of Trade Unions of Kazakhstan" Amanat "" – 2.53%, Saltanat Tursynbekova from the public association "Kazakh mothers – the path to customs" – 2.12%.
The second place in the elections was taken by the position “against all”. According to preliminary data, 5.8% of voters voted this way. The turnout in the elections was 69.44%, said the chairman of the CEC of Kazakhstan, Nurlan Abdirov.
