Andrey Pivovarov at the appeal session spoke in the debate and with the last word. He said that he did not agree not only with the verdict, but also with the very existence of the repressive article 284.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, which was created by the authorities specifically to fight Open Russia.
The judge interrupted Pivovarov’s last word, saying: “Defendant, you are not at the rally.”
