Europe was the most inflation-affected region in September, where price growth rates are at multi-year highs in 27 states, including 19 EU countries, RIA Novosti calculated based on national statistics.
Residents of Austria, for example, had to remember the rate of price growth that was in 1952, and the Belgians – in 1975. In another 6 European countries, inflation has been at its peak since the 1980s.
At the same time, most of the states, 17, are now experiencing inflationary highs not seen since the 1990s.
