In the case of a fire on Komsomolskaya Square in Moscow, fire safety specialist Vladimir Konovalov and the general director of the tenant company Novo Flore LLC Anton Machelyuk were detained.
They were charged under Part 3 of Art. 219 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Violation of fire safety requirements, negligently resulting in the death of two or more persons.” They face up to seven years in prison.
