“Our propaganda apparatus is at the ready and waiting… The Russians will be knocked down like no people so far!” Goebbels said just before the start of the Great Patriotic War. And after June 22, the first Nazi leaflets flew to the Soviet Union along with bombs. Thus began another battle – the battle of propaganda. No less intense and exciting than the battles of soldiers and vehicles.
What was social advertising like in the territories occupied by the Germans? What did the collaborators think and feel? What were the Soviet leaflets for the Germans? Why is one poem in Russian worth ten thousand slogans? And most importantly, how did the propaganda of the warring parties change over time?
