Sergei Mokhnatkin’s lawyer, Leonid Krikun, in a commentary to Sote, said that the defense intends to continue filing a cassation appeal.
“We assumed [lawyer Krikun, as well as lawyers Sidorov and Moskalenko] that there might be such a decision, but we intend to appeal the decision further – to the Court of Cassation, and then to the European Court of Human Rights. The decision in the case of Sergei Evgenievich still falls under the jurisdiction of this court.”
The defender also clarified that during today’s meeting he was twice denied the right to speak in support of the appeal, which is why the lawyer challenged the judge.
