In Kirov, they will begin to consider in absentia a criminal case on “fake stories about the army” against the composer who wrote the anthem of the city

Criminal case against composer and conductor Prokhor Protasov excited due to reposts on VKontakte of Meduza and Present Tense articles and a video by Maxim Katz. Protasov is charged with paragraph “d” part 2 of Art. 207.3 of the Criminal Code: according to it, the musician faces a fine of up to 5 million rubles or imprisonment for up to 10 years.

The man found out about the criminal case when his parents’ apartment was searched. In early October, he was put on the wanted list. The musician himself now lives in the USA.

The next hearing in the case will take place tomorrow.
