It was expectedly unsuccessful: 4 years in prison for Andrey remained in force. There were many violations in the process, for example, Pivovarov did not have the opportunity to familiarize himself with the documents. Besides, jurisdiction is incorrectly defined: the politician is being held in a colony in the Krasnodar Territory, trials of Pivovarov were immediately held, and according to the law, he was supposed to be tried in St. Petersburg, at the place of residence. The last word was interrupted phrase of the judge: “Defendant, you are not at the rally.”
In Arkhangelsk continues appeal hearing in the case of a deceased human rights defender Sergei Mokhnatkin. His lawyer Leonid Krikun seeks an acquittal and rehabilitation of his principal.
