At the Russian Ministry of Defense refuted reports of a number of Western publications about an allegedly recent conversation between Chief of the General Staff Gerasimov and Chairman of the NATO Military Committee Bauer on safe ships in the Black Sea:
“There were no contacts, especially ‘systematic’ ones, with the chairman of the NATO military committee or other representatives of the North Atlantic alliance within the framework of the non-existent ‘Russian-American crisis commission on conflict resolution'”
“Information about reaching some kind of ‘agreement’ with … Bauer on the ‘safe movement of ships in the Black Sea’ is fiction from beginning to end”
