CIS countries agreed about the creation of a joint unit for “humanitarian demining” (without specifying how it differs from the usual one).
In the document, the countries of the CIS are called, among other things, Moldova and Ukraine, which are not members of it.
This may mean that Russia will begin to demand that the signatories of the agreement send their sappers, in particular, to these two countries without their consent.
Perhaps it was precisely in connection with this danger that the agreement on “humanitarian demining” was not signed by Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, and Kazakhstan signed it – but with a reservation, the essence of which is not disclosed.
