Russia and Ukraine exchanged prisoners according to the formula 35 for 35, Denis Pushilin, appointed by Russia as the acting head of the "DNR", announced this.
“The next exchange is taking place today with Kyiv according to the formula 35 to 35. Among our released are four from the Donetsk People’s Republic, two from the Luhansk People’s Republic.”
According to him, fighters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have mostly been returned to Ukraine. The Ukrainian side did not report on the exchange.
Earlier, adviser to the head of the office of the President of Ukraine Mikhail Podolyak said that Ukraine, as part of the prisoner exchange, sent to Russia a former Russian prisoner and ex-fighter of PMC Wagner Yevgeny Nuzhin, who was later executed with a sledgehammer. According to him, Nuzhin himself wanted this and signed a document on voluntary consent to the exchange.
On November 3, Pushilin announced that Ukraine and Russia would exchange prisoners according to the formula 107 for 107. The head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak , confirmed the exchange. According to him, they managed to return 6 officers and 101 privates and sergeants, including the defenders of Azovstal.
