The daughter of Nizhny Novgorod journalist Irina Slavina, Margarita Murakhtaeva, who burned herself down, was fined 30,000 rubles for picket on the anniversary of his mother’s death.
The court considered her poster “discrediting the army.”
During these almost two months, wrote Murakhtaeva, “I lost my job, received a flurry of criticism, lost hope that I had a future in this country, but I didn’t regret what I said for a minute.”
