After the de-occupation of the Kherson region, 432 bodies of killed civilians were found on its territory. This was stated by the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Andriy Kostin. Also, according to him, nine rooms were found in the de-occupied territory, in which the Russian military tortured civilians.
On November 16, the Security Service of Ukraine reported on one of them. The torture room was found in the de-occupied Kherson. Items were found in the room that "directly indicate signs of torture."
In total, Ukraine opened more than 400 proceedings based on "the results of the first signs of war crimes." According to Kostin, 12 prosecutorial groups are working in the Kherson region, but their activities are complicated by a large number of mines and Russian shelling.
