A designer from Dagestan was prosecuted for “LGBT propaganda” among children because of a competitor peeping through the window

In Makhachkala, an administrative case was opened for “LGBT propaganda” among minors against designer Elnara Askerova. The reason was a fashion show organized by her, at which men in androgynous images performed.

Crisis group CK SOS, which provided Askerova with a lawyer, said that “androgynes” are two young men with light makeup. At the same time, there were no minors at the show, which was also held in a closed format. It was attended, for the most part, by Askerova's friends and acquaintances.

The show became known after a passer-by who saw him through the window filmed and published a video from the event on the Internet. Askerova told SOS that it was “an entrepreneur who is familiar with the administrators of a number of local publics,” who was interested in the premises occupied by her store. The owner of the premises terminated the contract with the designer after the initiation of the case.

Askerova herself and other participants of the show, Kavkaz.Realii writes, began to receive threats demanding "to apologize to the Muslims." State Duma deputy from United Russia, Sultan Khamzaev, called them "unfortunate shockers" and said that in an unlawful state, "they would have had their heads cut long ago." Askerova's case will be considered on November 25 in Machakhkala, she faces a fine of up to 100,000 rubles.

On November 24, the State Duma in the third, final, reading adopted a law banning LGBT "propaganda", pedophilia and gender reassignment in advertising, books, films and the media. The Insider conducted a detailed analysis of it and found out that the deputies not only do not give definitions of "non-traditional", but also violate the law themselves.
