Murmansk authorities mobilized 2.5 times more people than they announced publicly
At the very beginning of the mobilization, the governor of the region, Andrey Chibis, stated that the task of the region at the “first stage of mobilization” was to draft 1,000 people into the army.
However, now the “Arctic Observer” discovered in the decree of the government of the region, the article “The number of citizens provided with property in connection with the call for military service for mobilization in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation”: and the number of 2500 people already appears in it.
According to the publication, on average, since September 26, about 80 people were sent to the war by rail every day, another part was taken away by plane: thus, the number of 2,500 people looks realistic, in contrast to the statements of the governor.
