From December 1, Russian publishing houses will have to pack books by "foreign agent" authors in black film. Such a request was received from one of the publishing houses to the general director of the Pareto-Print printing house, Pavel Arsenyev.
“Today we received an unexpected question from one of our publishing clients – can you pack the book individually in black opaque film. Why are we? Publishing house – from December 1, we are obliged to pack all the books of our authors-foreign agents in this way. Let's go look for the film," he writes on his Facebook.
In the comments to the post, Arseniev writes that the printing house cannot yet find a suitable film, as the suppliers “say in amazement” that they hear such a request for the first time.
Due to the start of the war against Ukraine and the sanctions that followed, there is a shortage of packaging, paper and film in Russia. However, the Russian authorities, unlike manufacturers and businesses, do not consider this a problem. Thus, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Oleg Bocharov claims that unbleached office paper from Russian manufacturers, unlike imported white paper, is good for the eyes.
