The change of the head of the Accounts Chamber is possible only after the relevant law is updated, Ivanov, the first deputy head of the budget committee of the Federation Council, who is responsible for interaction with the Accounts Chamber, told RIA Novosti.
He explained that in accordance with the new version of the constitution, the head of the Accounts Chamber is appointed and dismissed by the Federation Council (and not the State Duma, as before) – but amendments to the law on the Accounts Chamber have not yet been made, they are being prepared.
