The famous St. Petersburg pre-trial detention center “Crosses” will be put up for sale

Part of the territory of the former pre-trial detention center "Crosses" in St. Petersburg will be put up for sale. RBC, citing government documents, writes that the Dom.rf company will deal with this.

The territory and the building of the "Crosses" will be transferred from the jurisdiction of the Federal Penitentiary Service to the jurisdiction of "Dom.rf". The press service of the state-owned company said that they were already engaged in "accepting the object."

The company intends to consult with the city authorities, experts and residents "so that the territory receives new, sought-after functions and returns to urban life, while remaining part of the tourism infrastructure."

This is not the first time Dom.rf has acted as a seller of federal property, RBC notes. The company is headed by Vitaly Mutko, former Deputy Prime Minister of Russia.
