And about beauty. Without irony. About pure art, which helps to escape from the surrounding reality.

On November 23, the Stanislavsky Electrotheatre hosted Premiere of “Chekhovshchina” – an unusual rethinking of classical plays, without which it is impossible to imagine modern theater.

The monologues of different Chekhov heroines from different plays, merged into a single text, sound, on the one hand, modern, “feministic”, and on the other hand, they speak of the eternal loneliness not only of women, but of the person as a whole.

“Existential” is not a threat, whatever Russian nuclear theorists might think. This is the longing that Chekhov described for a century ahead.
