Novaya Gazeta journalist Ilya Azar informedthat he had just been barred from the Berlin-Riga flight by Air Baltic:

“They referred to the text of IATA (International Air Transport Association – ed.), which says that Russians cannot enter Latvia, and the exception is A and C visas. (Azar has a humanitarian long-term visa D of Latvia – ed.)

It should be noted that the practice of checking the visas of Russians on domestic flights became regular at European airports after the start of the war.
