A draft law has been submitted to the State Duma, according to which, for the confiscation of corrupt property, a court verdict is required that it was obtained as a result of a corruption crime (a copy of the draft deputies from the factions of United Russia, the Communist Party, the Liberal Democratic Party and New People is available from RIA Novosti).
According to the current procedure, corrupt property is subject to confiscation if evidence of its acquisition with legitimate income is not presented.
