A man from Togliatti came to Moscow to deliver a message to the US Embassy. He wanted his kidneys cured.
Alexei Vasiliev, 60, was detained by embassy guards when he threw an envelope over the agency’s fence. This is usually done by those who want to spy or pass on information, but Vasiliev had a more original goal. He wanted to heal.
In the envelope thrown by Vasiliev, there was a letter to the UN. In it, a man asked for help in the treatment of chronic kidney disease. He explained the same to the police. Vasilyev was listened to and nevertheless handed over to the doctors – he was hospitalized in City Clinical Hospital No. 67 with an exacerbation of a chronic illness.
