In the private sector of Magadan, this morning, many were unable to leave their homes because of the huge snowdrifts that had piled up during the night.
For two days, almost a month’s rainfall fell in the region, an avalanche danger was declared, and the Magadan – Balagannoye – Talon highway was closed. Rescuers reported the imminent arrival of another snow cyclone.
