The RF General Prosecutor’s Office has prepared a draft order, which spells out the procedure for preparing requests for the suspension of a media outlet or the invalidation of a license for violating laws.
The grounds may be published as truthful, but in fact unreliable publications that create a threat of harm to life or health, fakes about the RF Armed Forces, materials calling for unauthorized actions, publications showing disrespect for society, the state, and state symbols.
If violations are identified, the requirement is prepared within five working days, and if necessary, immediately, then sent to Roskomnadzor. The issue of the possibility of banning or restricting the activities of foreign media in the Russian Federation will be preliminary coordinated with the Foreign Ministry.
