Timur Bekmansurov, who staged a mass shooting at the Perm University, said his last word before the verdict.
September 20, 2021 Bekmansurov came in PSNIU and shot six people. The meetings went on for four months: both victims and witnesses ask for a life sentence for the shooter. At yesterday’s debate, the prosecutor made the same petition, despite the fact that Bekmansurov was recognized as a disabled person of the third group indefinitely.
The defense insists on mitigation of punishment. The shooter himself remained silent during the debate and asked for a day to prepare the last word. He admitted his guilt, asked to take into account disability, positive references from the place of residence and study, active cooperation with the investigation with truthful testimony. Instead of a life sentence, he asked for corrective work with the possibility of earning money.
